Grooming
Leave it to the professionals
Regular grooming is an important part of keeping your pet healthy. There are five major areas to focus on when caring for your pet: coat, teeth, nails, ears and eyes. While this care requires effort, it will pay off in a pet that stays healthier longer. It is important to start these activities as early as possible – preferably around eight weeks – to get your pet accustomed to and comfortable with these activities.
When you call us to make an appointment to have your pet groomed we will provide the best, safest grooming experience for your pet. Remember, we love pets too!

Qualifications
In 1987, we began our education at the New York School of Dog Grooming in New York City. Because we were at a dog grooming school in New York City we were able to learn how to groom many unusual breeds of dogs. Class instruction went well into the night each night as we learned first learned dog and cat anatomy then moved on to grooming an actual dog and cat. The grooming experience we gained at New York School of Dog Grooming, we feel, provided us with a wealth of knowledge, better preparing us for opening Bark of the Town Pet Grooming.
We have encountered many dog breeds in our grooming shop as well as many different temperaments! We feel New York School of Dog Grooming just laid the groundwork, that our over 30 years of being in business have provided, more than adequately, the many aspects of the grooming profession.
Today we groom over 25 dogs a day at our fast paced grooming shop off the square in Millerstown. We have many clients that have been with us since our doors were opened in 1987. We are very pleased that they have continued to come to us for the grooming of their dogs.
