Our History
In 1987, Tim and Lauren met and began their education in dog grooming at New York School of Dog Grooming
Upon high school graduation, Daniel, son of Tim and Lauren, began working full time at the kennels to eventually make it his career. By early 2025 the transition was complete following the retirement of Tim from 37 years of business at the grooming shop in downtown Millerstown.
Thanks to our loyal customers, Daniel, with help from his parents Tim and Lauren, can continue to stay busy with the constant workflow from the kennels alone.

Meet Nugget; our company mascot!
Nugget is Daniel's golden retriever who loves spending time with family at the shop. Grooming and boarding dogs is his passion, and he takes his job very seriously. He greets all of our customers with a wagging tail and loves getting lots of attention.
Nugget is a part of the family at Bark of the Town, and we couldn't imagine life without him!
